A musical reading of a novel about the search for happiness, of inner and outer foreignness, and migration.
A young family – two adults, three children – moves to the countryside. Exhausted by the intense city life, the adults hope for a new beginning – for the family as well as for their relation-ship. They prepare their modest house and all five try to make contact in the small village. But they cannot flee, not from themselves, not from the fact that they are strangers here.
Daniel Mezger performs a reading of his virtuoso debut novel – the story of the search for happiness, of inner and outer foreignness and migration.
